At Big Blue Ranch we pride ourselves on making sure that everyone who comes out to hunt deer or turkey has a fantastic time. Whether you’re coming from just down the road or from one of the coasts in search of the kind of game you just can’t find at home Big Blue Ranch offers just what you’re looking for.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time with a rod and reel or you’re an experienced angler you can have a great time fishing from shore, from our dock or with one of our boats. With a fully-stocked lake you’ll be sure to have a great morning or afternoon reeling them in.

The native prairie of Big Blue Ranch is home to the greater prairie-chicken. Every season offers different birds to watch. The central flyway is used by hundreds of migratory birds. Ducks, geese, trumpeter swans and pelicans stop at the lake in both spring and fall. Some nest near the lake and some may stay in the vicinity year round, weather permitting. You might catch sight of a solitary great blue heron wading in the shallows.

Big Blue Ranch and Lodge is home to a wide range of flora and fauna found here in SE Nebraska. Every day there are new opportunities to capture shots of flowers, wildlife, sunsets, storms, and more, during every season. Come visit and get the shots you’ve been looking for.

When you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with friends and family you don’t need distractions, you just need the ability to kick back and relax with the people you care about. Movies, card games, drinks on the deck or curling up in front of the fire are all options after a big day out on the ranch. Spend time the people who are important to you, come visit us at Big Blue Ranch.

Pawnee County is one of Nebraska’s hidden gems. With only 3,000 people in the whole county it has rustic small town communities with cafes, bars and shops. Yet we’re less than 2.5 hours from Kansas City and Omaha and less than an 1.5 hours from Lincoln. Enjoy your time out in the country with Big Blue Ranch.
